50 Cent Speaks On Obama
Inauguration
January 20, 2009 - Change is officially here with
the Presidential Inauguration of Barack Obama.
One person that's no stranger to the concept of change is
rap superstar 50 Cent; after all, his name is a metaphor
for change.
Hollyscoop caught up with 50 Cent at the
Vitaminwater house inPark City, Utah this past
weekend for a one-on-one interview, in which we discussed
the current political climate, his thoughts on Obama and
the change he will bring to our country.
"I think he inherited the country in a difficult state,
actually worse, I think it will take time," 50 told
Hollyscoop. "I hope for all of our sake that his plans work
for us."
Millions of people (and celebs) have lined up in the
streets of Washington D.C. hoping to get a glimpse of the
President. But will 50 be there?
"I may watch it from a really nice hotel room in D.C.
because it’s going to be a whole lot of people out there
for no reason doing different things," he said.
50 Cent jokingly continued, "If Obama didn’t invite you,
you really shouldn’t be there, that’s how I feel about it.
When I go to places when people didn’t invite me they look
at me crazy like, 'why is he out there?'"
In regards to our countries current economic crises
affecting the music industry, 50 said: “The music business
is in a different climate, Circuit City is going out of
business, you can't put so much pressure on me, GMC needs a
bail out.
When you got major corporationhaving issues, of course the
music business is going to change, and it takes a little
longer for them to position the music in the public in
order for us to actually release it," he said. "But they
should look for it [his new album 'Before I Self Destruct']
to come out late February to March.”

50 Cent Fighting With 'Lil Wayne
January 15th, 2009 Lil’ Wayne started the rivalry,
attacking 50 in a mixtape. He rapped “All about a dollar, f**k
two quarters/B**ch, I’ll our syrup in that Vitamin Water/I hope
you die ugly, and tonight will be gorgeous.”
To that, 50 rapped, “I’m on your heels, Mr.
Carter/I heard you/You want me to die ugly? Okay/Don’t end
up on the list, n*gga/Be a missing person like Cam’ron, like
Ja, like Joe/Who wants some?”
50 Cent says of their rivalry, “It’s gonna be hard
for me to get off him. He’s a talented artist, but if you
put him in a space when we’re in direct competition, my
consistency will break his neck.”
50 Cent Fights For Son
July
17th 2008 - is in an all out brawl with his baby
mama Shaniqua over seeing his son, Marquise.
She currently has a restraining order against 50 to keep him
away from the little guy. But now he's doing everything he can
to spend some time with him this summer.
He goes to court today to try and reverse the ruling that went
into place after their Long Island home burned down, which
Shaniqua accused 50 of being involved with.
He's denied any involvement, and says not seeing his son is the
hardest thing he's ever had to face.
UPDATE: A Long Island judge granted 50 Cent an
unrestricted visit with his son from August 3rd through the
12th.
50 Cent Has Beef With Taco Bell
June
19, 2008 - We can file this under…..huh??!! Taco
Bell just approached 50 Cent and challenged him to change his name
to 79, 89, or 99 Cent. Why, we may never know. But Fiddy
apparently doesn't like that kind of joking and hit back at
the
fast
food joint.
His rep issued a statement today saying, "This is a sleazy and
ill-conceived publicity stunt by Taco Bell's president, Greg
Creed, whose disingenuous offer was leaked to the press before
it was even presented to 50 Cent's agent yesterday."
And the buck doesn't stop there! 50 is planning on suing them.
Again, why??? He says, "When my legal team is finished with
them, Taco Bell is going to have a new corporate slogan:
'We messed with the bull and got the horns!'"
We had no idea 50 took his fake name so seriously.
